Westfield is a progressive table tennis club, awarded Table Tennis England Premier Club 5 Star status, based in a purpose-built hall at Weavers Leisure Centre, Wellingborough (for directions, please navigate to ‘our location’ page)

The club currently has a membership in excess of one hundred, across all ages and abilities, and offers table tennis sessions from a “casual user” through to a “British League” player.

Junior coaching sessions for Beginners/Improves, Intermediates/Advanced and Developent squads run weekly during term time. The club has strong links with both Northamptonshire County and Northamptonshire Schools Association and supports developing players to progress within both organisations. The club runs a ‘Get back Into Sport’ session which encourages previous players and new adult participation in playing table tennis on a weekly basis. We also run sessions for participants with disabilities.

For competitive play the club currently have teams in the local Wellingborough & Kettering Leagues; have teams in the National Cadet League and National Junior Leagues and a Senior British League team. We also run our own Summer League.

As with most clubs, the above is only possible because of the efforts and commitment of our coaches and volunteers. We currently enjoy the commitment of four UKCC Level 2 qualified coaches plus a number of UKCC Level 1 coaches, but we are always happy to recruit more support for our coaching sessions. Every effort, both financial and practical is made to assist members in gaining sporting qualification at all levels, from junior umpire awards to coaching status. We also have a healthy team of volunteers who help us run events and competitions and welcome anyone who would like join our ranks.

My thanks go to all our coaches, committee members and volunteers for giving up their free time. It is appreciated and long may it continue
