National Junior League – Day 4 Report

The final day of this season’s National Junior League took place on Saturday 9th March, at Westfield Table Tennis Club.

Division One saw Corby Smash ‘A’ take the honours. Smash had been the front runners all season and duly delivered to win the division by 10 clear points. Runners-up spot was much closer, with Milton Keynes sealing their spot in the last round of matches.

Division Two saw a strong fourth day performance from Westfield ‘A’ secure the title. WDHA Juniors had been the front runners in this division, but the unavailability of a couple of key players meant they had to settle for runner-up spot.

The run away winners of Division Three were Corby Smash ‘B’, who amassed 56 points out of a possible 60. The Corby players also occupied the top three places in the averages! Runners-up spot was taken by St. Albans ‘B’, who were comfortably ahead of Cliffdale Chandlers.

Congratulations go to all the winners and runners-up.

My thanks go to Mike Wildman for his excellent organisation skills, and to Lisa Holly for her help with running the refreshments.

See you all next season!
